What kind of armor is aela wearing
Do you guys have any specific light armor I can get her to wear? I'd say scaled or forsworn would fit her best, but i do think she could rock some vampire or thieves guild armor too. Or the shrouded set. Astrid sure looks good in it. I really like Elven but maybe not on her. She might look good in fur or leather too.
You could always kill a Thalmor and see how it looks. If you aren't taking her out fighting I'd try to get her into a Tavern dress. That might not last long though. I'm assuming you aren't on the PC, and I think she isn't essential anymore if you marry her so she could get killed.
Do they ever go out of the house? She will definitely equip dragonscale if she will equip anything. Winner x 1. You must log in or sign up to post here.
Show Ignored Content. Eorlund : "And dragons were just stories. And the elves once ruled Skyrim. Just because something is, doesn't mean it must be. The blade is a weapon. A tool. Tools are meant to be broken. And repaired. Did you repair the blade? And now it will take you to meet him once more. Eorlund will then trust you with Wuuthrad and tell the three members of the Circle to head to Ysgramor's Tomb immediately. Aela will set off at a running pace and yell: "For Kodlak! After exiting Whiterun, she heads east and passes all the farms and the watchtower, then turns east and north towards Dawnstar.
After running through the main street of Dawnstar, she will take the eastern path past Nightcaller Temple and cross the snowy tundra all the way to the entrance of Ysgramor's Tomb, where she will enter right away. When you arrive, you will find Aela, Farkas, and Vilkas gathered in the first chamber near the Ysgramor statue. Once you have returned Wuuthrad to Ysgramor, Aela will draw her weapon and follow you through the many tunnels, determined to do what is right and ensure Kodlak will have the afterlife he wanted.
She will help you fight the numerous Companion ghosts , even after Farkas admits to a bad case of arachnophobia as soon as you enter a huge den filled with frostbite spiders. Once you activate the Flame of the Harbinger, she will help you fight the wolf spirit , thus helping Kodlak to get free from Hircine and enter Sovngarde. Afterwards, the quest will be complete and a happy Aela will start to greet you differently: "You're someone who can get things done.
I like that. Did he say you were to lead the Companions? But your strength and honor are apparent to all. Your strength and honor are apparent to all. Let's go tell the others.
Three options are available to you:. Kodlak said I should lead the Companions now. But that may just be because I remember when you were just a whelp who was begging to join. The old man trusted you, so I'll trust you. But this I think I'm just going to This place is worthy of some time. You go on ahead. I'll see you back there. I'm glad we could give it to him. Aela will then stay behind in the tomb, but will now be available as a follower , as well as a potential spouse.
She will now add the last set of new greetings: "Do you have guidance for me, Harbinger? Good hunt ahead of us. The new quest is called Totems of Hircine. When she finally returns from Ysgramor's Tomb, all her radiant quests will be available, although it is up to Aela which one you get.
If you get the unique option 'Is there any work to be done? I had once heard Skjor and Kodlak talking about the Totems of Hircine. Simple-looking objects that could channel the powers of the werewolf in new directions. Once Kodlak began looking for his cure, I'd wager Skjor didn't bring it up again. But I was going through his things and found a book I had never seen before. All about the Totems. I've been talking to my sources around the holds, and think I may have heard where one of them lives.
Want to come along? I guess I was wrong. As you travel together, she will greet you with: "The spirit of Skjor is with us on this errand. I feel him. Let's get it to the Underforge.
Let's get to the Underforge and see what this can do. This completes the first part of the quest. The second part of the quest can be initiated through the same dialogue option as described above.
When asked for work, Aela will say: "Harbinger, I'd be honored if you joined me in my search. I think I've located another one of the Totems. Come with me, and we'll write ourselves into their history. Return to Whiterun and the Underforge and place the Totem of Brotherhood on the receptacle. Once again, Aela will kneel down before it and start praying. The third and final part of the quest is initiated as usual.
Aela will say: "Harbinger, I'd be honored if you joined me in my search. I've finally tracked down the last of the Totems, I think. The information wasn't easy to come by, but everyone has a price. And a pain threshold. This turns it into the Totem of Fear , Aela will pray as always, and the quest will be completed. Outside her quest involvement, a normal day in Jorrvaskr also includes a few random conversations with the other members, assuming they are still alive:. Skjor : "All these younglings scampering around.
But that's not what I'm worried about. Skjor : "Are you prepared for tonight's hunt? Let's just not be too obvious. Aela : "You wanted to see me? If you have a concern about my honor, bring it before the Circle. I didn't mean to snap. We're all on edge. Kodlak : "How goes the hunt? We're going to seek it out. Come back alive, and with stories to tell! Njada : "I've heard some rumors So that's that. Aela : "How do you manage to hold your ground like that?
It's about leverage. I'm just saying there's more to defense than muscle. If you have cured yourself of lycanthropy, there is no way to regain it in the base game.
However, the Dawnguard add-on provides a one-time opportunity to restore your lycanthropy by speaking to Aela. After being cured of lycanthropy, simply find Aela and speak with her. You will have the option to tell her you wish to regain the gift of beast blood. She will respond, "Do you, now? Hircine doesn't usually bestow his favor on the fickle. But you've proven your worth. I'm willing to try. Are you ready now? Reconsider your plight. When you choose to tell her you are ready, she simply says "Hold still, then.
The conversation is now over, and if you choose to cure your lycanthropy again, there will not be another chance for Aela to restore it. According to the game files, Aela was supposed to be an alternative shield-sister on your venture through Dustman's Cairn during the quest Proving Honor. Why she was skipped is unknown, but Farkas will always tag along for the journey.
Aela was supposed to have different, and slightly more informative, dialogue than Farkas:. Player : "Who was this scholar? From my view, I don't think we'll find anything here. You'd better hope there's still a chance for you to prove yourself, though, or this Trial might last longer than you'd like. Player : "What was that? You must have heard of werewolves before. It's a blessing given to the most honored of the Companions. Now let's move. I think that was the last of the Silver Hand, but still plenty of draugr for the both of us.
Player : "You're going to make me a werewolf? Right now we're just seeing if you're worth keeping around. Player : "The Companions are werewolves? We shouldn't be talking about this anyway. Player : "You're going to be my Shield-Sister? Try and keep up. Player : "I'll meet you at Dustman's Cairn. Player : "Who are the Silver Hand? They've made it their mission to hunt us down, but we are hunters ourselves. Player : "What is Wuuthrad? Without that axe, this whole land would be overrun still.
Player : "Why did Skjor call this my Trial? Do well here, and you'll be a full member of the Companions. Fail, and it won't matter anyway. Miscellaneous : "I hope you've readied yourself. The key to that door has to be around here somewhere.
And recently. I don't want to haul you back to Jorrvaskr on my back. That number boosts up to a respectable with the inclusion of a shield. Dragonscale Armor provides a lot of protection and intimidation, but its low drop chance and Smithing requirement make it tough to obtain in the early to mid-game.
Imperial Armor isn't necessarily terrible, although it isn't terribly useful outside of the first few hours of a playthrough. Bethesda did a great job designing the armor sets in such a way that most of them do serve a specific purpose. In this case, the Imperial Armor set is the first armor set many Skyrim players will find in their playthrough. It carries the same defensive statistics as Iron Armor but carries the advantage of being obtained much earlier.
If you follow Ralof during the opening Helgen sequence, you can obtain this set by killing an Imperial captain on the main path. Imperial Armor also has the bonus of giving the player choices in terms of variety.
There are three different helmets for this armor set, and each carries slightly different statistical variations. The Imperial Armor set is by no means atrocious: it just falls behind when higher-tier armor sets become available.
Miraak's armor set is unique in that its comprised of different armor types. The robes are considered clothing, the boots and gloves are light, and the helmet can drop as a light or heavy piece—determined by your proficiency in either tree.
Its armor rating might be quite low and can't be further improved by tempering, but the enchantments on this armor set make it absurdly strong. This can be further enhanced by obtaining the Atronach Stone and the Alteration tree's Atronach perk. With all three effects combined, you become completely immune to enemy spells and dragon Shouts. Not even enchantments can provide that level of power!
The tentacle explosion from Miraak's Robes is quite potent, dealing poison damage to any nearby enemies whenever you're hit. You do give up reduced Magicka cost on your spells, but becoming immune to every spell in Skyrim is more than worth the tradeoff. Iron Armor is a set that doesn't really do much of anything. Its armor rating of 60 is about average, and the banded version of the armor doesn't offer much of an upgrade—sitting at an armor rating of A huge and glaring problem with the Iron Armor set is that it doesn't benefit from Smithing perks, meaning it can't surpass Flawless tempering quality unless your Smithing skill exceeds Some will argue that its accessibility in the early game makes it decent.
However, Steel Armor and Imperial Armor can be obtained just as early, both sets providing either better armor or weight values. Iron Armor becomes obsolete too quickly to warrant use unless you love the look of it. In that case, fortify your Smithing and turn this armor into the damage-absorbing beast it deserves to be. The Deathbrand Armor set provides powerful enchantments and an exceptionally high armor rating of Wearing it as a full set provides you with tons of cool buffs, including increased carrying capacity and water-breathing.
Arguably the most unique part of the Deathbrand Armor is its enchantments. As you equip additional pieces of the armor set, the enchantments on certain items become much stronger.
The armor itself has an interesting design as well. It's a frosty blue hue that seems to be built based on a Nordic set. If you're looking for the Daedric Armor equivalent for light armor, you've found the right set. For clarity, this is the default Stormcloak Armor that most soldiers use, not the Stormcloak Officer variant that's much better.
There isn't much going for this set besides its great aesthetic design. The set has an armor rating on par with Studded armor, lacks a shield, doesn't benefit from Smithing perks, and becomes obsolete once players start finding Leather Armor not even a few hours into their playthrough. The Stormcloak Armor set suffers from being an early game item that doesn't really progress beyond its beginnings.
Unless you love representing the Stormcloaks or how it looks, there's virtually no reason to use this armor set. The Ancient Shrouded Armor set is unquestionably one of the best armor sets in Skyrim. It has an incredibly high armor rating of 72, weighs next to nothing, and has a great set of enchantments that any back-stabbing assassin would love. The sleek red and black design ensures that each assassination is stylish. As the Miraak set is best for mage characters, the Ancient Shrouded set is tuned towards stealthy characters that strike from the shadows.
The increase to sneak damage makes this an excellent armor set to pair with stealth builds. Best of all, this armor set doesn't have any level scaling, meaning you can complete this mission at level one and obtain an endgame armor set.
