Thankfully, the only enemies you'll run into en route to Sapran are the same kinds of foes you've already fought -- Impfish, Swamp Serpents, Garudas and Amigos galore, and even more Narbears than you originally had the chance to fight, including having to fight more than one at a time be careful in those fights, as they can be quite difficult! When you reach a predetermined location on the western edge of the desert, a cutscene will automatically ensue and you'll find yourself in an isolated area that you can't leave.
Aya and the twins will all temporarily leave the party as you run around finding all ten pieces of Firewood strewn around the area. Keep a close eye out for them and search exhaustively, as a couple of them can be exceedingly difficult to find. After all ten pieces are found, speak to Aya and watch the cutscene that takes place thereafter. From there, all you then have to do is head far to the south to reach Fayel.
Easy as that! Once in Fayel, exploration can begin immediately. There are plenty of people to speak with, plenty of buildings to explore, and lots of things to do this is definitely the biggest settlement of any kind we've yet come across in the game. However, chances are you won't get much of a chance to explore before pre-planned events take over the game.
When you approach the castle, a rather lengthy cutscene will appear an important one where you learn Aya's true identity. From there, a couple of more cutscenes ensue. You may want to just get these out of the way immediately before exploring -- not necessarily a bad idea -- but remember to explore after these cutscenes take place.
You'll ultimately regain control in the town's inn, but when you go outside, another cutscene takes place.
